I need front speakers for my home theater. I have been reading alot of reviews here and because of this site have decided on a screen for my projector and narrowed the proj to 1 of 2. I am spending so much on the damn screen and projector i want to get a great sounding speaker for the front and center. My question is what would you guys think is the better of the two. X MTM towers or paradigm monitor 7? I have read some things saying the X mtm speakers looks great and sound great. (hard to find some info about sound, but its there) Most reviews talk about how amazing the Onix X-MTM speakers look but few on how they sound. The paradigm speakers certainly known but for the few hundred more are they that good? Klipsh was on my radar, but i just dont know about them and something is drawing me away from them. Not sure why or what that cause is though. If i can get a great sounding and appealing speaker tower for 600 for the pair that would be wonderful. Do i really need to match the center speaker to the fronts? Alot of questions in there and sorry for vomiting the questions.

X-MTM without question. These speakers are really not out there much yet, which would explain the lack of reviews. I have owned the Monitor series previously and the X series are easily better in my opinion. They sound different from each other though, so that is only an opinion. Have you heard the Paradigms?

Yes, match the center and fronts - these 3 are the most important to match.

Unless you can step up to the Studio or Sig line; I would opt out on the Paradigms. Look at the AV123 RS450 B-Stock for 640 bucks or wait for the x-mtm.

The X-mtm's are so new they just started shipping to customers. So reviews of these speakers will be very limited until more people receive them. I have a pair that just shipped today, and should arrive by Friday. After I spend some time in front of them, I will be glad to give my thoughts and opinions.

The Ascends are more like the Paradigms, but I would go with the Ascends over the 'digms as well. They are also quite different from the X-series too, so a little listening will be necessary before you start choosing.
