Help choosing floor speakers for 5.0

If you can get these there, people rave about these:

Thats a nice option, i'll take a look and see if i find it.

I would go Infinity or Jamo.

I trust the 4ohm measurements on the Infinities and I do not trust the 8ohm rating at all.

I do think they're 4 ohm too, but is also true that there was no complains about any damaged receiver or so. I think they will be fine in my yamaha rx v475. Anyways if i pick the infinity set, i'm gonna be constantly checking the temp, just in case.

The receiver it self have a caution message on the back saying "when connect less than 8 ohm speakers, see instruction manual for correct setting"

Just hook them up you don't need a special setting for these speakers.

I think you should listen to them. I bought the P163's and felt something missing and sold them. I really think the Pioneer 22's and 52's sound much better or the Jamo 5.0 set I recommenede earlier.

Though I do not have the 475, I do have the 477 and the only options for impedance are 6 or 8 ohms. No 4 ohm setting. Maybe the 475 does go down to 4 ohms. Not sure..

Finally my system is taking shape, the infinity speakers sound great with the yamaha rx-v475(80w), but i can feel the lack of power to move properly the 5.0..
So, i'm considering changing the receiver (paying some difference), and my options are:
Yamaha RX-V675 ($530 difference, 90w)
Yamaha RX-V775 ($810 difference, 95w)
Onkyo TX-NR727 ($824 difference, 110w)

opinions about this change? The onkyo is by far more powerful than both yamaha's, but i've been told that the rx-v line of yamaha has better sound quality.

The P363s do dip into the 4-ohm range:

but the phase angle is benign.

Basically, if your reciever cannot power these speakers without failure, then it's not a reciever you want to own in the first place.

i really thought that the yamaha 475 was enough to power the 5.0 infinity set..

What do you think i should do then? .. my only options are the mentioned above (V675, V775, NR727).

Those receivers with more powerful amps will not gain you much more output. Going from 80 to 110 watts will gain you maybe 1.5 dB, which is just barely perceptible. If you really want louder, you either need significantly more sensitive speakers or a significantly more powerful outboard amplifier, maybe a 200 watt amp (for which you would need to get an AVR with pre-outs). Some Klipsch towers could probably outdo some Infinitys pretty handily for current. Thing is, the Primus speakers can get very loud, so you must want extreme loudness levels not to be satisfied with them. A system that gets a lot louder will cost a lot more.

Xavi, get a sub!

Forget about a changing your AVR (for now). A sub will ease the power burden on the AVR considerably by handling the power sapping lower octaves. In addition, your Infinity's will be loving life and will play louder with less distortion when not being asked to reproduce those low bass frequencies, so upper bass and midrange will improve as well.

A reasonable quality sub will do much more to improve your sound quality than a slightly more powerful AVR.

Damn! how i did not think of that!!
That would kill two birds with one shot, as i was thinking in buying the sub eventually.
Though i'm gonna have to wait, if i buy it this month, i will eat subwoofers and speakers
That's gonna be my next target, i will begin researching about subwoofers and see what can i get in my country.

Look into your locally made sub market first. They will probably offer the best value, depending on your import duties/taxes, exchange rate etc.
