I have a Motorola HD DVR DCT-6412 vers. 3 (there is some ambiguity to definition of dvr and pvr, the unit says dvr, it has a dual tuner and a hard drive). I love it! I am moving to Toronto and will subscribe to Rogers Cable. I saw their PVR/dvrs (they call their dvrs pvrs..I don't know why) and the software they have for them is cheap and totally sucks. I assume my DVR will not work because ROgers does not support cable cards, so my question is hwo can I get my DVR to work? I was thinking maybe I could run it off the HD cable box? ALso the TIvo's they sell do not record in HD they only allow you to view in HD..again sucks.
