Okay, I just moved all my stuff and got a nice all metal and glass TV stand to put everything on. Got a new TV - a Toshiba flat screen 32''.
Here's my problem -
When I plug in my Sony DVD player 1) there is a buzzing from the left channels ONLY with RCA not digital coax. 2) the picture is funny colored and horizontal lines come accross the screen when the sound gets loud.
Now, I like to have RCA hook ups when I listen to CDs and use the digital coax when I watch movies (so I dont have to mess with different settings each time I switch). That's why I need to figure out this buzzing. By the way, there is no buzzing through other sources, just the DVD player, even when connected to different inputs.
Second, I switched the componet video cables, so I know its not the cables causing the funny picture, and I moved everything away from other wires that might interfer. I also looked to for set up options on the new TV, but it seems there is nothing you have to do to watch through componet cables (and the TV doesnt really explain all the buzzing)
The only thing I can think of is 1) new TV might have something to do with picture, but why the buzzing? So I ruled that out. Maybe the metal and glass stand? Why would that mess with the picture?
Oh, I went to the store and bought a new DVD player and swapped them - no luck, EXACT same thing.
THIS IS WHY I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO NOW!!!
Help!!!
THANKS!
