It does look nice. I’m curious though if you’ve noticed any off screen panning issues with the screen that high One the mains.

Thanks. No panning issues whatsoever.
I'm really itching for that Emotiva amp but have to wait for a few months. This hi-fi stuff really drags you in :)

Nice setup. Newbie question, what's the benefit of an Emotiva amp when you have that excellent Denon? Just better sound quality or do you need more power?

Thanks. Denon has 105 watts per channel. Two front towers and the new center speaker need up to 250 watts each. That's where the amp comes in.
Also when I tried to listen to music in stereo, only through the two towers, I felt like the speakers are very underpowered and could easily play much, much better with an external amplifier.

They only "need" the power to play at the levels you want, a max continuous power rating in a speaker is not generally something all that useful, at that power level it would be ear bleeding loud and likely not good-sounding; it is more likely a danger point for your speakers melting down than anything else.

You might want to play with an spl calculator to see how the power translates to spl at your listening distance for your speakers...

This is the same kind of thing I am going through after a new AVR purchase.
I was used to the more raw/dirty sound I had from a 1990's stereo amp.

The sub interaction seems to be more movie oriented, mine is funky with music with the new AVR.
Some stuff really bumps and some times I wonder if its even turned on.
The old receiver/sub just was ON!...it all ways rocked.

The new AVR sound reproduction is so clear/clean/transparent that I find my self turning up the music too loud.
To really rock this new AVR, its hurting my ears, the forum hive mind kindly informed me I could be at 102db.

Feel like I need a good/old stereo amp for listening to music...

Ironic I am going through the same thing.
I have an old pioneer vsx 456 running book shelf technic speakers which i had bought as rears long time ago (surprisingly good) and a new powerhouse Polk 12 inch sub and my God barely up it rumbles the entire finished basement. My son had it on and i was upstairs on the couch and the depth was hurting my ears it got so low and raw. I had to have him turn it down.
Upstairs I have a newer pioneer with vega 10 inch towers and dual klipsch 10s subwoofers and although it sounds fantastic and room filling like the theater, the single 12 has just got more raw power in every phase of hrtz due to that older receiver.
I have wanted to upgrade but just can't part with that 456 or even shelf it. I dont know what it is rated but at 1/4 up is more than enough. I feel it would destroy any speakers if you wanted.

Adjust your channel levels.
My pioneer is 100w a channel running cv 10s as towers and i cant even tske the volume half way without the house about to fall down or my ears begin to suffer and that is not enabling my subwoofer.
I wouldn't think the Denon would be suffering with that setup. Maybe if you are running 9 speakers.
