Hello looking for help with speaker placement, pics inside

so i drew up something quick in PS not to exact scale but close and doable..

im purchasing a 47" lcd which is indicated in RED
im also looking at the HSU VTF2 MKII sub

i need help with speaker placement.

ceilings are aprox 8' the sunroom has a dormer type ceiling peaks around 12'

this is my first house and im 24 so keeps a**hole comments to yourself

im thinking of placing the sub behind the sofa rightside of the trunk, thoughts ?

also suggestions on front side speaker placement?

I would recommend the sub up front by the mains.

Side surrounds are tough given the room layout. You'll likely have to go high and aim them down a bit. If 7.1, they should be pretty much directly to the sides of the seating position. Using dipole side surrounds will also help to make them disappear better in the soundfield.

Based on the pics of your current TV, that 47" is going to blow you away! Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, which TV did you get? I'm close to buying one myself.

ok well,

my receiver will be the RXv661 yamaha which is 7.1

in regards to sub placement if i go up front should do i do tv left or tv right, tv right is more like a corner.
