You mean the Health Care Bill that secretly included the largest overhaul of the Student Loan business which will further add to the destruction of the middle class?

A NO vote, along with my doc and dentist, and my wife's two docs.

The most important provisions of the mammoth health bill aren’t set to take effect until 2014, or even later. (So why rush it through, you ask?)

You’ll note that by 2014 the US will have had two Congressional elections. Three, if you count the one that will occur in late 2014 itself. And in 2012 there’s the little matter of President Obama’s run for re-election.

Seriously, I have no life.
It needs to be overhauled but not this way. Also, people need to care for themselves to avoid obesity and other causes of heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes. This would cause a significant decrease in treatment and cost to everyone.

This went through in ways that are entirely too divisive and it will have long-range consequences. It also needs to pass, in its present form, in the Senate and I don't think that will happen. If they change anything, it has to go back to the House. Also, at least 16 Attorneys General have said they will sue over this, so I expect the final version to take years to be signed unless Obama comes up with an Executive Order. Plus, many of the point in this bill don't even kick in until after the next Presidential election.

My vote is no.

I agree with highfigh above, in that we need to take better care of ourselves. We need to be responsible for our own health and take the time out of less important things (like tv and video games).

Health care: Yes

Butchered remnants of a bill that's left: No

The only good thing that's come out of all this is we've opened discussion on it. Though I'm amazed how resistant the populace has been.
