I have a Mitsu. widescreen with the 1394 IEEE connection and was wondering if the new Elite 59 avi ( has hdmi) would connect up? I know that the pins are different, but I heard that they will start making adapter cables. Can anyone give me any insight?

At first look it does not seem that you have two compatible interfaces. You can try connection the Pioneer i-link to the Mitusu 1394 but my guess is they won't talk to each other.

I called pioneer and the tech said that cable companies will make an adapter. Is this possible or is it just two completely different signals?
