I am having a problem with audio over HDMI with my Marantz SR4003 receiver. When I connect my Oppo (or Denon) DVD players via HDMI, I get video but no audio through HDMI. If I power off the TV, i get audio over HDMI. No problem with audio or video from DVR or PS3. The Marantz is set properly to HDMI enable for audio decoding by the receiver.
Here's my set up:
HDMI out: Sony KV-30XR910 TV (DVI-HDCP compliant) via HDMI-DVI adapter
HDMI in: (1) Verizon FIOS HD DVR, (2) Oppo 980H DVD player, (3) Sony PS3
Another oddity: When I swap HDMI ports between the Oppo and PS3, I get audio and video from the Oppo but nothing from the PS3.
The Marantz SR4003 has HDMI 1.1 repeating spec and all the dvd players are at least HDMI 1.1 (Oppo does 1.1 and 1.2).
