HDMI indicator flashing on Pio Elite 84TXSi

PLEASE HELP!

I have a Pioneer Elite 84TXSi that all of a sudden shut off and the HDMI light keeps flashing. I can't turn it on, get any on screen displays or any activity what soever.
I have it connected to an Elite 1140 display and an Elite DVD player and it has worked flashlessly for months so it's not a compatability issue.
This happened once before and I when I took it in for service I was told that it when into protection mode.

How do I get it out of protection mode??????

I would also like to add that no wires are crossed/ shorted etc it just shut off.

On the front panel hold down the setup and then press power on and switch to safety mode 2 and see if it stays on. Also you did try leaving the unit powered off for a bit?

I tried the "Setup" and "power Button" combination with no luck. I left the receiver unplugged from everthing ( Speakers, HDMI, Power etc) all night an still the problem remains.

first if you can just reconnect every thing, then if no luck.....Call (800) 421-1404

I have taken the receiver into a repair facility as it is still under the 3 year warranty
