In reference to hdmi cables, does a 48gbps cable yield better audio/video resolution in comparison to an 18gbps cable?

HDMI Cables are like pathways for signals between devices. If you have a high performance 2023 Z06 Vette, but are traveling down a long goat path, it won't make it's specified (high ~190 MPH) speed, but if you take it out on the Track, it'll get there.

So you need both the source, and the output device, plus the cable to all match to yield the best results. If one of them is lacking, then the output is limited to that components' capability. If they are all to the same specifications, you'll get the results you are looking for.

I hope this is helpful.
