hdmi cable question

wrote last week about yamaha receivers choice decieded on v1900 this reiever has 3.1a hdmi ,question is can i use my current hdmi cables that i now have one is amonster cable & the other is from radio shack thanks waxey new member

You old cables will do just fine. Cables that are certified or whatever are just marketing hype.

You should burn the Monster one as that is blasphemy around here To answer your question though, yes it should be fine. "Certified" just means they have been tested under that spec, but technically all of them are supposed to be compatible with all versions of HDMI.
