avaserfi Audioholic Ninja Apr 12, 2007 #5 If you want to go blu-ray you might aswell get another PS3 they are one of the best blu-ray players on the market and among the cheapest. Also, its a pretty nice game system especially once the games start coming in.

apatel25314 Audioholic Apr 12, 2007 #6 i totally agree, but the lack of ir commands totally made me choose a standalone
GlocksRock Audioholic Spartan Apr 12, 2007 #7 wow, you must have lots of money to burn. I'd rather deal with the inconvenience of having an extra remote control than spend all that money on a stand alone blu-ray player.

j_garcia Audioholic Jedi Apr 12, 2007 #8 I don't have a problem with one extra remote at all, and other than no backlighting, it is a good remote. If you want a stand alone one, wait a few more months for the BDP-S300 which will be Sony's new $600 player with 1.3.

avaserfi Audioholic Ninja Apr 12, 2007 #9 I dont know 100 percent if one is in the works but I am sure it will be soon. You could always wait and see if a company releases a universal with Blue Tooth capabilities. Would probably cost as much as a stand alone high def player though.

j_garcia Audioholic Jedi Apr 12, 2007 #11 I like the universal I have as well and don't plan to replace it. I would expect to see many manufacturers start looking at bluetooth remotes soon too.
