HDMI v1.3

I hear a lot about this and how it will fix a lot of problems, is this a format that everyone has finally agreed on and will work between all components? when will HDMI 1.3 come out? how soon will all of the other HDMI versions be phased out, immediately? Thanks

Now if all manufacturers of all devices that use HDMI interface can provide firmware fixes to update current equipment to HDMI v1.3, all will be good again!

Probability of that happening, NIL.

I don't think that the HDMI 1.3 standard has been finialized yet so I wouldn't exprect equipment meeting the standard to be available any time soon.
I read a press release recently that HDMI finally came up with a product certification program so that they can check manufactuers products against the standard. Too bad they did not have this in place a couple years ago.
