I am not to swift on HD setups.....but this is my situation. I just moved my 50" samsung plasma onto another wall in my living room. I had to bring another cable line to this location, and rather than bringing a new line from the HD dish on the roof, I added a fifty foot coax to the existing line in the living room. Will this compromise my picture quality? What is my best setup options under the following circumstances:
TV(SAMSUNG HPP5031): accepts DVI cable, composite video input, speakers have
been removed
SAT(DIRECTV H20): HDMI output, composite video output, optical cable output
SURROUND SOUND SYSTE(SONY DAV-FR1): will be used for sound always, optical cable input, composite video input

Any guidance would be appreciated :confused::confused:

There shouldnt be any appreciable signal loss as long as you are using RG-6 or RG-6Q.

Your best setup would be to get a HDMI to DVI cable or HDMI cable with a DVI to HDMI adapter and run that directly to the tv and then run the optical digital for your audio from the sat box to your reciever.
