Ok here is the question and what I have to work with.
I have a set of booze 901's a set of infinity bookshelves a pair of cerwinvega's I could use in the front main. I ordered the Polk RM6700's for surronds and center. I have a 12 in. JBL in a huge box for the sub. I am going to spend $1000 0n the receiver.
Which reciever would be best for $1000
.
and which set of front mains do you recommend
7.1 a must/ sound quality= realism a want

You should probably have focused on getting new mains and center. Now you will have a new center channel that doesn't match your mains.

What receiver do you have and does it enable slight EQ on the center channel? You may want to play with that to match tone across the fronts.

As for which speaker - I have no idea, you'll need to swap them out once you get the center channel and see which matches best tonally to your new center.
