My towers retail for over $10.000.-- and are far superior to Definitive and I still don't like them. I do own them for around 8 years I guess I just grew out of them. Big mistake was to listen to Sonus Farber Stradivarius, now to me that's a speaker.
What do you currently have if i may ask? Sonus Faber makes good speakers and they are on the neutral side.

I've heard the Ultimas but to me they don't sound as good as they look. Don't get me wrong because they still outperform the B$Ws in the same price range:D I like aperions- good value for the money and do a good job for HT.

The reco Def Techs will give you at most their BP7002s which I also wouldn’t reco alone for sub duty. Though they are excellent speakers!

Ascend Acoustics (SALE) CMT-340 SE/ CMT-340C SE/HTM-200 SE plus stands, with a set of Def Tech BP-2Xs for side surrounds runs a little over $1500 right now. That leaves enough for dual AV123 MFW-15s or Epik Knight/Calibers.

Strad is a decent speaker but Price-Value relationship is not there. There are better speaker on the market for the money unless you are hung up on a wide baffle loudspeaker concept.

I have agree with that, $50.000.- for a pair of speakers is way to much for my budged and there are speakers out there for a fraction of the cost that sound as good or better.

O Man.

The resident Definitive Technology 7000 series members are going to be all over you.
No, I won't.

Nothing personal. Just personal preference.:D

Like ParadigmDawg says, whichever speakers sound the best is the right ones.

Dollar for dollar I just think you can do better. That's just my opinion, that's why we are on this forum.
We are on this forum for one reason only. We love to talk about Audio, Video, and Speakers.

Over the weekend, I listened to the Dali Euphonia MS4 speakers in an acoustically treated room. I also listened to the MartinLogan Vantage in another treated room. They both sounded pretty good. But in my humble opinion, I still personally prefer my speakers.

I also listened to the Krell Resolution 2 in another room. By far, the Krells were the most DISAPPOINTING speakers IMO. They sounded so "thin"; there were no BASS to speak of.

It's just fun to be able to listen to a bunch of different speakers.

One has mention Def Technology speaker system that has the subwoofer built in on the fronts. 2 fronts, 1 center, 1 surround pr and 1 rear.

The other suggested Atlantic Technology 4200 with a 12 inch sub. THX certified. 2 fronts, 1 center, 1 surround, and 1 rear pr.

Has anyone heard of these speakers? What is their rep? What are they comparable to?

I have a 35 X 15 ft HT room that I am putting them in.

Thanks!
What are the model numbers on the Definitive speakers?

Thanks. I think my system changes every month.

Man, I wish I could afford the $60K/pr B&W Tube-loaded Nautilus speakers. I'd love to have 6 of those.:D
