Trying to rest as much as I can still.

It will tell you when you are tired and should stop & rest...do so. It will take time probably longer than you expect it will. I was out of work for 8 weeks recovering, it took the longest time to get my energy level back up. I thought I was going to be stuck doing no more than 2 hours of activity at a time. But eventually I bounced back better than ever. Keep taking the pain meds when needed & enjoy wanting to pull your hair out when the incision starts to ITCH!!!!

My other scar STILL itches now and again and that was 8yrs ago. This one is in a little more common area though, so it could be more of an issue. I feel OK for a while, maybe an hour of activity or so and then I HAVE to rest. I have been getting plenty of sleep, but I still feel tired after a few hours, like falling asleep sitting on the couch tired. There's no doubt I will be back to normal, but it does feel like it is slower going than I would like. They said 2 days with no driving and it has been 5 and I still didn't feel up to it yesterday. Going to try today.

Between that, and the meds & the stress on the body just working hard to heal itself will take time. That is where all your energy is going, it's focusing on healing so there's not a whole lot left over for extra stuff. So just sit back relax & let yourself heal.
