I bought one of those refurbished recievers. Not the same one,but my experience has been a positive one so far. The reciever was in good physical condition it did have some minor scratches on the screen but none that can be noticed unless you really get close. Don't be fooled by it's low wattage rating those h/k recievers do deliever some clean power. That site has their products on ebay. I would bid there you may get a better model for the same price

There is no way in 2008, I'd buy a receiver that does not support audio over HDMI. Especially one for $350.

Thanks for the input guys

Bluesmoke I am not exactly sure but if it says "HDMI audio and video processing" does that mean it will support audio through HDMI.

thanks

Unless the Z is a special model with HDMI audio, I know for a fact the 245 didn't do audio. The 247 does. Anytime you see HDMI "switching" it's a clever word for "doesn't do audio", it just passes it through to your display. HDMI "repeating" is audio + video.

Ok thanks

You are right it does not do hdmi audio, that is why i looked at the 247 which is where i read "HDMI audio and video processing"
The marketing that goes into each and every word they use can have you thinking you are getting one thing and actually getting something else, so i just wanted to make sure.
So i guess i will go with the 247.

thanks again.
