Got it! But in any event he is yesterday's guy after the Masimo purchase of Sound United.
The problem is that we are in the hands of a bunch of bureaucrats at the monopolies commission. If they nix Harmon's purchase, I think this will end badly. As far as I can tell Sound United are barely hanging on at present. The AV 10 I purchased is now out of stock in the US. Believe it or not, demand for these high end units seem to be high. It seems I am not the only one rushing for safety.
At the moment year end seems a long way off for Sound United. I am not sure they can hang on that long, as I would bet they are are accumulating debt, faster than the worth of the company.
I still have heard nothing about the warranty service of my 7706. I expect the service centers are owed money and holding off doing any work for Marantz. I have a feeling I will never see that unit again, and be out the money after the unit was in service only 3 months.
If Sound United do go under, it will be a very bad day for audio and AV enthusiasts. I know we all breathed a sigh of relief after this Harmon offer for Sound United, but this saga is far from over I fear.
