Harman Kardon AVR 7300 malfunction?

Hi all,

hope this is the right place to post this question.

When I push the power button my Harman Kardon AVR 7300 goes into the standby mode (orange light) but when I try to switch it on, the blue light comes one for a second and it cycles back to standby. Unplugging from the AC and the reset did not help.

Any ideas what this might be?

Disconnect all your speakers and see if it still does it. If it does it needs service, although this may not be cost effective.

service ... may not be cost effective.

That would be a shame as the H/K AVR 7300 is kind of a legend in my books.
Still, any non HDMI rec'r is of very limited value anymore.
