Hard Drive upgrade for Yamaha CDR-HD1500

I'm thinking about getting a Yamaha CDR-HD1500 for ripping all of my CD's in an uncompressed format. I understand it comes with only a 200GB drive. With well over 800 CD's in my collection, that won't even come close. Is it possible to put a 1TB or larger drive in it? I've read that you can upgrade the HD, but I'm not sure what the limit is.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi Kevin
I am presently testing a 750gb drive in a CDRHD1500 and the display alludes that 177 hours are available, I am assuming with about 65 discs still to record that this is 1177 hours, so will let you know in about a week. My other CDRHD1500's are either 500gb or 250gb which work well - the 500gb hard drive provides 784 hours of recording

Hi Kevin
With a 750gb drive when 177.59 minutes above 1000 hrs is fully recorded the CDRHD1500 extends its display available time to be 999hrs and 59 minutes. . So a 750gb drive works a treat.
