Whether tomorrow is a holiday for you or not (for our non-US friends), I hope that you all have a great day tomorrow! Enjoy your family and friends, and by all means, travel safe. Sometimes Thanksgiving is an excuse to travel and see our loved ones, so take advantage of it!

I'm staying put this year in Tucson, but Niki and I have a 20-ounce pack of ground turkey with our names on it for tomorrow. Plus, some ham. I expect to see Niki snoozing soundly tomorrow afternoon. :D

Adam how are you going to cook the turkey? Not turkey burgers I hope...

IMAG0454_BURST002_COVER_zps0a3a1a49.jpgpicked up our bird tonight, $200 by the time I left the farm, but in the morning this baby will be stuffed with an 11lb chicken and about 4 lbs of sausage stuffing... I already deboned the turkey and the chicken and cooked the sausage for the stuffing, the turkey is now in a 5 gallon zip lock bag soaking in some brine that I boiled up today {coarse salt, honey, and brown sugar}. So tomorrow I will wake up at 5 am, finish making the stuffing while letting the turkey sit at room temp and preheating the oven, then Ill put the chicken in the turkey where the bones used to be stitch it back up with cooking twine and toss it in the oven, she should be ready to eat by 1pm...

Happy Thanksgiving to all if I don't have time to post tomorrow..

Nope, not burgers. I just cook it up plain in a skillet in crumbles. I put half on her plate, and half on mine - and then salt mine a little. She normally plows through hers by the time that I get maybe (maybe) a quarter of the way through mine. Then we share the rest.

crumbles, c'mon its thanksgiving Adam, how about some pie crust with some diced potatoes and sweet potatoes and a little gravy easy 5 minute turkey pie :D .
You will never win in an eating race with nikki, lol One of my weims used to eat way to fast and get sick so the vet told me to give him his food really hot, instead of doing that I fed him out of this rubber toy he had, to me it was a better idea than burning his mouth up, it slowed him down and kept him busy for a while..

Well, I think they're called crumbles. I just cook it up and break it into small pieces. Yeah, I know that I'll never win against Niki. :D That's okay. Thanksgiving is about family, and she's family. :)

Well got the bird in the oven at 4:40am woke up at 3:30 and stuffed the chicken in the turkey, stitched it up and put it in the oven...

Happy late Thanksgiving to all my American friends! ;) There seems to be a pattern with you guys - late for WW1, WW2 and Thanksgiving.:D

I'm stuffed. Now trying to decide if I want to finish out this football game or pop in Red 2. I'll have to consult Copper and see what he thinks.

Hope everyone had (or is having) a happy Thanksgiving.

Currently just sitting back and enjoying a beer while waiting for the in-laws to arrive for the long weekend.

Happy thanksgiving :D

Had a fire in the oven at my grandparents' yesterday. Probably ruined their oven :(

Other than that, everything was great.
