Hi, i'm in the process of remodeling my apt and setting up the HT at the same time. would anyone please describe a schema or point to a source of how to hide the wires for the flat HDTV hanging on the wall. In other words which outlets and in which fashion have to be set up during the construction phase of the project.
Thanks
Boris

I can't point you to a site, but things to consider are:
TV- how are you going have connections get to TV. I had them routed behind the dry wall.
- How far is your tv going to be from you components? A consideration for the type of connections you want to run. (sound, component video, HDMI, etc...)
- What type of TV do you have? Some use modules separate from the TV. If this is the case you would need a compatiple cable installed behind the wall to where you mount your TV to where your components will be before the dry wall is installed.
- Have a power outlet installed sowhere the TV's power cord will be hidden from view.
- Where is the subwoofer going to go? Think about how you will connect it and where will you plug it in.

These are things I had to think about during new construction. I hope this helps.

I'm planning to do the same thing. What I vision is just punching a hole where I'm going to hang my TV, and punch another hole a few feet directly below where my Receiver/Sources stand is going to be... then I just feed all the wires over the top until i can grab them back at the bottom, which then will plug into the components and power.
