Handshake Problem between Samsung TV & Denon AVR 4311????

I'm getting back to hooking up my system (after a protracted move) . . . in any case, I have the one HDMI cable connecting my Samsung UN55C8000 TV to my Denon AVR 4311 (via ARC HDMI Port) . . . however, I'm having the following problem:

When I stream a video from my Amazon Prime Moving Streaming, I get picture but no audio back thru the AVR . . . the AVR continues playing the audio for whatever setting it is on when I switch over to the TV Amazon MOD option (e.g., the sound from the STB or the BP continues to play over the speakers while the Amazon movie is playing onthe screen . . . seems like this should be a pretty straight forward issue . . . but it complete escapes me at the moment .. .

I'd appreciate any help w/ this . . . so, thanks in advance . . .

Edit: According to more informed people below, you should ignore what I had written below:

I'm not positive about Denon's but I know for yamaha receivers it assigns ARC to an HDMI number as if it were plugged in to an input and you have to switch over to that. Try cycling through your HDMI inputs to see if you can find the one assigned to ARC.

Hi. A couple of things:

1. Your TV supports ARC on the HDMI 2 port only.

2. Your Denon supports ARC only if you have "HDMI Control" turned on (check out pages 16 and 99 of the Denon owner's manual).

Stupidest f'n design ever. Denon's engineers should be flogged mercilessly!

It should be a button on the remote - 'ARC Input' so that it works like it is designed to.

Thanks to all three of you guys . . . it got me snooping in the right direction . . . apparently there's a Samsung setting "Anynet+(HDMI-CEC)" that had to be 'paired' (something to that effect) w/ my AVR . . . so, at least I'm good to go-to-go there . . . now if I can only find a way to improve this internet speed out here in the sticks . . . grrrrr!!!

p.s., also, once I launch the Amazon Prime Movie Streaming . . . it flips my AVR over to "TV Mode" from whatever mode it was on previously . . . just an FYI
