Hands on help help?

I am new to all this audio stuff but I am on the verge of buying a SVS Speaker system along with a Onkyo 605, or 674 Reciever(still looking for opinions on which one to choose) and I am seeing alot of threads involving the setup which includes some things I never even knew had to be done. Things like adjusting the reciever to put the sound out due to distance from each speaker, best place, etc... I was wondering is there any electronics store or place in a city in general that would have someone who does it as a profession just do that for me? Just pay them to install my whole setup even though I am not purchasing a system from there particular place. If not, I guess I will read the manual for everything I recieve and be here a lot =P Thanks

BestBuy and Circuit City both have teams that do install and setup so you could go that route if you want. However, I would advise against it. I've seen all kinds of horror stories on forums and elsewhere where the 'installers' didn't know the first thing about it.

The setup stuff you are talking about is absolutely trivial to most of the members here and anyone of us will be happy to walk you through it.

Thanks for the heads up. I would def. believe it. I just didn't want to shell out the cash to be let down. I just want the most out of what I purchase...like anyone. What you think between the Onkyo 605, and the 674...still looking for help picking the reciever
