I finally purchased the Sharp Aquos LC-37D43U.SD does not look as bad as I thought.I have an older surround sound with no HDMI input. For now i connected the upconvert DVD to the TV via HDMI.Should I run all my audio and video( from the cable box,dvd ect.)to the to the TV and then to the reciever via digital optical audio,or just run them direct to the receiver.Does it make a difference?

It really shouldn't matter at all(so long as the TV has a digital out, I'm assuming from your post it does). Would you rather change inputs on the TV or reciever?

It doesn't matter to me which one I have to change.I wasn't sure if there would be a difference in sound since the audio ran through the tv first.
thanks for the reply

Cablevision signal

my 42 in. Panasonic plasma`s picture is granny. I think it is caused by a poor ground condition with cablevisions signal coming into my home.Is there a filter I can add to help get a better signal such as a signal attenuator or should I call cablevision and request new wiring ?
