I believe ChopinGuy talked to 6Ave.com and they offered him the 3808 for about $1K. So call J&R or 6Ave and get a brand new 3808 for about $1K.

What do you guys recommend for a power conditioner? I was looking at the Panamax m5400pm I found it on ebay for 461.99. I've got about 9 things I need to plug into it. Do you thinks that is a waste of money?

I have a Panamax 5100EX, and in my opinion they are just over rated power strips. They do have a ton of outlets on the back, but they do nothing for brown outs, everything goes off and comes back on with the electricity.

Thats what I thought. I have read reviews from people saying they noticed better blacks on there plasma's and a more detailed sound from their receiver after adding a power conditioner.

I own both a Onkyo 805 and a Denon 3808ci and although I love both, I would say that the sound quality is a hair better on the Onkyo. I should mention that the Denon has AR Phantom 8.2 speakers all the way around, while the Onkyo has DefTech BP 7001sc's, a DT 2002 and Mythos gems as rears. (both are 7.1 setups) I would go with the 875 or go with the 2808ci and a nice 5 channel amp for under 2,000

As far as power conditioners go. I highly recommend Tripplite. I feel for that Monster is better BS when I first started this hobby and paid 500.00 for a MK3600 and I paid 80.00 for a Tripplite Isobar and the Tripplite works just as well as the Monster (although not as pretty).

I also bought two Monster AVS2000SS Volatge Regiulators but bought them when Circuit City had em on closeout for 299.00/ea otherwise I would've looked at Tripplites VR also (although I own them also took em out when the Monsters showed up since the Monster was continuous regulation while Tripplites only activate during exterme lows or highs.

You have a great system and glad you are taking plans to protect em.

BTW- Howdy MazerSteven glad to see you lurking around here, hope you and the missus are well and Thanks again for the great deal on the Strata Minis.
