I have good memories of seeing him perform in the summer of 1974 in Anchorage, Alaska. Sad to hear the news of his passing.

Sad indeed, my second favorite 'story teller', he and Harry can now sing forever in heaven !

Sad? he was 84. We should all live so long and contribute as much. Thank you kindly Mr. Lighfoot for your perfectly pleasant and heartfelt music. May he and Mr. Belefonte rest in peace.

agreed !

FWIW when I stated 'Harry' I was referring to Chapin, saw Gordon and Harry together in concert in '77 in Detroit, great show !

After the hole they dug themselves last night, they'll be fortunate to win this series, never mind the cup. :(

One of my favorites as well ! many years back while traveling west on VIA's train #1 (the Canadian) a young lad with his guitar played and sang that song in the dome/lounge car as we headed west from Winnipeg onto the Canadian prairie. One of my most memorable train trips and I've had quite a few !

FWIW, VIA rail traverses the CN now on that train.
