So I guess this goes off your IP address but Google search defaults to Korean no matter what I've tried. I keep having to type "google in english" in the search bar before doing any searches and it's annoying. Anyway to permentaly set the language settings to English?

What browser are you using? Have you tried clearing your cache/cookies? Are you signed in iGoogle? You could try logging in/out see if that makes a difference.

Had the same problem about a decade ago in Paris. Google kept defaulting to google.fr, even if I typed google.com. But I can not remember how I got around it.

Matt,

-Go to Google.com

-Put your cursor to the right of the search bar. You should then see *Languages*.

-Click Languages, then you have the ability to immediately change your default language preference.

Give that a shot and let me know if that worked for you.
