The Yamahopper has a kazillion DSP's if you're into that and was named in the "Ultimate System" post on the website ( http://www.audioholics.com/showcase/systemguide/mid_system.php ) , while the Denon is solid and leading edge in DAC. Both are reasonably new but have been extremely well received in these posts. Alot of people are actually stepping down from the Denon 3805 to get the 2805.
