Hi everyone, first post. I have a question.
I have been shopping and researching for a new receiver for the last couple of months, much to the dismay of my wife. But hey, live a little right?
Anyway I have been looking at a Denon 2105 and several different Yamahas in various price ranges. With $700 being my definate max!! One feature that I think I really want is component video conversion (?). The thought of never having to toggle that input switch for the tv really excites me. Last week I ran into a a RX-V2300 from Yamaha for $749 from an authorized retailer. I asked for better deal and the salesman was able to lower it to $700 bucks. Is this a good deal? I know it listed for about $999 originally.
I don't think it has the component up-conversion but it was still an intriguing piece. I think if I bought it I might just stare at it for a few days.
