Thanks guys. It all started well. I litterally just walked out of the office. Met with my boss and told him I'm "going away" for a few days. It was my daughter's birthday that weekend so we packed up, brought my daughter's best friend, and we stayed at one of the resorts at Disney. The girl's hit the parks, and the wife and I hit the cabana and the pool bar.
The last day, I ended up partially tearing the tendon in my arch.. like from some drunk shannanigans since I can't recall anything specific I did. The next week Christina finished school, my wife had her surgery, I was limping around taking care of her. Christina got the flu, and I limped around taking care of her.
I take to some yard work just to get out of the house. I'm weed whacking around one of the landscape beds and I got the think turned on it's side to go around the edge and WHAM! I feel this sharp pain at my jaw. I start bleeding and just thought I kicked up a rock or something. I go inside and realize that I'm bleeding pretty bad. I take my hand away to look at it thinking I'd just need a band-aide and end squirting blood two feet out of the wound. Nancy's wiped on pain meds, so I go across the street. My neighbor comes to the door and goes "let me see"... I take the towel away and squirt blood all over her. She runs me to the ER and by the time I get there I'm already feeling dizzy. The fast tracked me and got me fixed up. I had about a 4 inch gash, with about 2 inches of it clear to the jaw bone.
I decide to go back to work. We're in the midst of a couple of different audits and inquiries... at the same time. Odd I thought. I did some asking around and it turns out the word is we're getting some retaliation for withdrawing our TARP app. Nice.
The last 3 weeks have just been brutal in one way or another. Now my daughter has pneumnia and is on massive antibiotics. We're gonna give another day or two. If things don't get dramatically better, we're taking her back to the urgent care center again. I think she's on the mend though... if I could just get her to rest.
Anyway, as soon as things settle down some more, I'll have more time to visit. We've all had our ups and downs... I think it was just my turn this time.
