GoldenEar maybe making larger center speaker

Hi, I posted on the GoldenEar Facebook page the other day asking if they were going to be making a center larger than their SuperCenter XL. This would be a center marketed to match large front projection screens. They responded that they are working on a larger center. I also mentioned using their folded ribbon tweeter and a upper midrange driver in vertical alignment, and they responded that their folded ribbon and multi vaned phase plug drivers work differently than conventional drivers, which sounds to me they are not going to use a vertical tweeter/midrange configuration. I have heard rumor of a new larger Center since late last year, was hoping they were going to announce, but it doesn't surprise me that it's coming, I held off buying a center channel for exactly that reason to match my 1s

Some of the finer GoldenEar dealers offer trade up programs. This is a good reason to support the old fashioned family owned stores, even though I like the idea of "internet direct" shopping too.

I haven't bought any GE gear from Internet Direct, partially because GE doesn't do internet direct. My dealer does support upgrade, but since I just got the 1s a few months back, didn't see the need, especially since they do very well in Phantom mode.

Cos when you had your 2's did you ever run a separate sub ?

PS I'm checking with my local dealer on the new center, I would be interested as well.

I had dual GE FF4 Subs, mainly because I got an incredible deal on them. I am actually thinking of selling them now as 1 Sub works just fine for my bedroom and I have a Paradigm Seismic 12 sitting around collecting dust
