I am currently using my Denon 3802 in a 5.1 setup but I am going to add 2 more speakers for the surround back channel. I know that the kit will support DD EX and DTS ES but I am confused as to what setting to use. The manual is very poor. On page 21 of the manual, there is a section for setting the surround back channel auto flag detect. They actual recommend to leave it set to off which makes no sense to me. What I would like to happen is to automatically utilize the back speakers when playing a EX or ES DVD. If it is only 5.1 I really probably dont care if any sound is output out of the surround back speakers but I might be interested in seeing what it sounds like with the extra channel matrixed from a 5.1 or pro logic II source. Any thoughts from other owners on how I should set the denon would be appreciated.
