I have 3 maybe 5 places to go to. My main interest are Monitor, Paradigm, And Focal. Of course the Dyn's will be great to see, too bad they might be an ohm problem with my Denon.

The other possible choices range from B&W, Martin Logan (not my cup o' tea), Meridian, James, NHT, Klipsch, RBH, and Dali are worth mentioning. Any of these a "MUST" to listen to? Some would requires an extra stop in an already long day.

Oh yeah any comments on the big 3 up top?

I just heard :
Paradigm -
Mon 7 - good
Studio 60 - very good

B&W -
683 - Better than Mon.7, not as good as Studio 60
CM7 - Couldn't choose between this and 60's

The B&W's were a bit smoother and the paradigms more forward but you might like the forward presentation. I couldn't decide. I'll have to go back again.
I also heard the new Martin Logan Preface. It has cone drivers for the bass and mids and a ribbon tweeter. I liked this one alot also but didn't hear it at the same store as the others, worth a listen.
I didn't like the Focals much. I thought I did until I heard the others.
Of course you need to listen and decide for yourself but I always like to hear other opinions not just the listen for yourself and make up your own mind advice.
Good luck and let us know what you think.

If there are KEF’s available, give them a listen, if for no other reason than to hear how they image compared to the others.

I still fantasize about the Monitors I listened to. :p

Just remember to have fun and if you get tired stop for lunch or go home 'cause otherwise you'll likely to unduly influence the later speakers.

Got it all planned out one what store I go to first by speaker brands. The last has Paradigm and Monitor as well as Boston but I'm not interested in them.
Should be a good day, like a kid in a candy store.:D

I will see how it goes and maybe do a follow up on my adventure.

Just wondering... have U considered the online companies like Aperion? I recently upgraded to their 6T's and accompanying surrounds and I am very impressed! THey offer 30 day trial at home; with FREE ship both ways if U don't like them. And their customer service is AMAZING!

Eficon F200

I went through a similar audition process and at one point had the KEF iQ9's, then upgraded to the Mythos ST, and most recently was considering the Wilson Sophia's or Magnepan 3.6 (very different I know) and stumbled upon the Eficion F300 and F200 series (http://www.eficion.com). I was blown away. Actually my wife was the first one who said wow (and she really doesn't care much for audio.) They were being played on B.A.T electronics but after purchasing the F200's I will say they sound fantastic on my Marantz 6003. The 300's are even more amazing, but much pricier. Not sure if they are available in your area since I found them at a local shop in Redmond but if you get a chance I would encourage an audition.

I decided on the Focal Chorus 826 V if I can swing a good enough deal I will get the Focal Chorus 836 V. I need to go back I had to talk it over with my wife (Read: tell her) what we were getting.

I might go tomorrow if it rains I'm a bricklayer so no work when it rains. So please let it rain. If not tommorow than sometime this week at least by Saturday. Hell, When I came back I said let's go back right now (an hour drive one way), she wouldn't have it. Plus she had a surprise birthday party for me that night. Very cool way to cap off a day of high end gear shopping, I must say.

I really fell in love with the Focal's I will make a review thread sometime this week. I tried yesterday but still not feeling it after above said surprise party.
