Gimmicks to Help Win the Format War?

I know this article is slightly old (first of July) but I haven't seen it mentioned here. HD DVD camp is adding more internet functionality to their newer discs in a hope that it will help beat out Blu-ray. I think some of the things sound a little silly while others would be cool, but when I get a movie I rarely look at the features minus the outtakes unless I really like the movie hence the title of this thread.

I was wondering what the opinion of everyone else here is on this new added functionality.

I agree with you, avaserfi. I wouldn't be very interested in that capability. I can see it causing a small surge because of the novelty aspect of it, but I think it will fade away fairly quickly unless they unveil some other features of the internet capability.
