Yeah, you can tell by the trailers this ones gonna suck. Hell, just having that lame Wayans brother in it alone makes me not wanna see it. But it does have Ray Park as Snake Eyes. I'll probably rent it some day.


Hey, you know what always bugged me about GI Joe? No one ever died. Every time you saw a plane get blown up, you always saw the guy parachuting away. Come on, can't I have a tiny bit of realism in my war cartoons?

Same here buddy. I love both the cartons and had watched them a million time. I would definitely watched G I Joe no matter wat are the reviews?? Well for transformer 2 its not that.

I didn't read the thread, but I'm going pass on some info I heard.

This movie had the worst pre-screening results, of any movie, in the history of taking pre-screening surveys.

It's going to be so bad, it's good.

Because when Snake Eyes comes to save you from the nasty virus he's going to be consuming all your PC's resources with a 1080p pop up showing you how awesome he is at killing the bad viruses.

I saw it today. Ill give it a c+ b. Lil better than wolverine but not as good as transformers. I still have yet to figure out why directors feel the need to change stuff to their liking. If you remember the cartoon you will immediately recognize all the damn changes. The changes almost made me as mad as the ones they did in the second hulk movie(that really pissed me off). It was still a decent flick. If you have nothing else to do go see it (matinee ofcourse). So many changes.

Since I didn't follow the comic, I have no idea how accurate or inaccurate it is. I know it is a futuristic event though. I don't think I would bother with a GI Joe that was about the Korean war era on film today.

Same goes for the new Star Trek film. Since the original series was the best of the time. I certainly don't want to see the same old star ship depicted in the original series like, so obsolete looking.

I agree to a point. I just dont like them changing the story or humanizing a character. With the hulk he was getting tired, Running slow, Getting his *** kicked at the end....They just changed his powers and for what. I didn't like the Hulk because the movie sucked. Whether or not they made changes, that movie was crap.

i never was a HULK fan. i thought the movie was pretty good.
i never was a GI JOE fan. the perviews look great.

This is true, however that does not mean they should hand you two hours of action with no story what-so-ever, and as the ones who pay for these movies, we shouldn't allow Hollywood to continue to do so.

Personally, I'm sick of Hollywood turning out stupid crap movies year after year. The people that defend these turds always say, "Come on, just enjoy it for what it is. It's an action movie, not Shakespeare."

Gimme a break. You can make an action movie within the confines of a decent, coherent story. Just having lots of explosions and hot chicks doesn't make a movie worthwhile.

Very well said. Think the original Indiana Jones trilogy. Lots of action and a good story.
