I have a yammie dvd player and 55 inch rear projection tv. Since I have gotten the yamaha dvd player the picture doesnt show true blues and makes everything look green, I have been pissin around with it so much and cannot figure out the problem. I was wondering if someone could suggest what to turn down or up where its the tint, brightness, color, contrast etc... Thanks a lot

If you are using component video cables check them first. You might have one that isn't pushed on all the way.

is everything green just when you play the DVD or all the time ? if it's all the time, you might have unshielded speakers causing the color shift.

I once used way to much contact cleaner on the component cables I was using even went as far as to wipe it into the RCA inputs on the TV and DVD player. It caused a wicked green haze over the TV picture. I quickly wiped it off the best I could and things got back to normal. If you are using contact enhancer, trying wiping it off a bit.

Have to agree with the others this sounds like a sync problem
Or impedance issue with the cables There is however one other thing to check Many TV manufactures have two or three different sets of component inputs on the back of there sets One set may be labeled or assigned as a 480I
Input and the other may be labeled and assigned as a HDTV Input If you are using a progressive signal form the DVD player you would terminate the cables at the HDTV set of component inputs If you are using the DVD player in interlaced mode then terminate at the interlaced set These component inputs may also be configurable in the set up menu of the monitor
Hope this helps
