Kaz-maN, this post is in response to your statement of finding the high end Marantz for about $1200 'new' on some sites, that you did not specify. I will warn you, these sites are likely to e scam sites - the price is too good to be true. I have never seen this table sold new for less than $1600, and it usually goes for $1700.
Digitalcraze.com is one such site I am referring to at the moment. Please research any site you buy from very carefully before purchase. Here is just what I found by googling digitalcraze.com + scam:

Loads of negative experiences. This one compnay also has like 20 different alias store names on the internet!
Unless you find a 'reputable' place selling a factory refurbished TT-15S1(they have been available on occasion), it's not likely you can get this table for anywhere around $1200. If you can find a local high end store that carries this table, you might get them down to $1500 from $1700 with some haggling.
