The 120dB/octave roll off was for the Joseph Audio RM7s, not these guys.

The chart I listed in the other post shows the x-over point for the A/V-2 on that page. These guys really are wonderful with music, but man did movies ever benefit from them as well
The kit doesn't include the cabinets, which is where much of the cost is, but if you are capable of woodworking, they are definitely a steal. You'd be surprised at what I picked up my most recently acquired surround pair for.
The A/V-1s are also quite excellent, and sound nearly identical. The only significant difference being the sensitivity, and obviously with two midbass drivers, the 2s supply more impressive midrange.
