For sale is a very lightly used Yamaha RX-V659, includes original box and all accessories (remote, YPAO microphone, manual, etc.). I've had this a little over a year and it's been used in my bedroom setup and on rare occations we'd watch a movie or two. Great performer, particularly considering the cost, just a bit too much for my needs.

I'll include some pics, but it's in perfect condition. Those unfamiliar with it, I'll attach some pics from Yamaha's site below. Here's a link to Audioholic's review on it, which I think is pretty spot-on. Here's more info from Yamaha's site on the 659 as well. If you're in the market for a relatively inexpensive receiver, don't need HDMI and want something that will last, this is a great choice. Do some research on this and you'll find this guy is well received.

Asking price is $250 plus actual shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 states. Any questions, please let me know... -TD

Thks Greg, considering it's earned a home in your setup, I'd say that's pretty good company... -TD

The 659 drives my Paradigms almost as good as my MPS-1. I am upgrading to the 1800 at some point but only because of the new codecs. The 659 will take over the bedroom duty.

I considered this recently myself (going from the RX-V2500 to the 1800/3800, but the price is just too high for me at the moment.

In my main theater setup, I decided to take the plunge and give Emotiva a shot and try out their MMC-1 in place of the RX-V2500. I've only had it set up for a week or so, but so far, it's pretty impressive. Not as polished feature and functionality-wise as the 2500 and not noticeably better for movies, but it is noticeably better for music, two channel and multichannel. Still not enough time with it to justify the change, but at the price they're offering this unit and the 40% discount on the next gen pre/pro, I look at it as a mini investment... -TD

I love my RX-V1800, I couldn't ask fo ra much better receiver for the money. I got mine on Ebay for about $900 shipped... no warranty, but the savings was worth it, yamaha is known for building solid receivers.

I wish I knew... oh well, not really going to be an issue if I don't have any problems with it during it's warranty period. I looked at all the authorized dealers I could find, and none of them had it for less than $1200.

Thanks Greg... ;)

Actual shipping to 84004 is just about $35, so I'd be willing to split that with you.

So with shipping, that'd be $267 to your door, I'll cover insurance as well... -TD
