These Reference 105/3 speakers from 1990 have been refreshed with new surrounds and center "donuts" on the four B200 8" woofers inside the "coupled cavity" cabinets, and the NT25 tweeters in the Uni-Q driver have been upgraded with new voice coils and fresh ferro fluid. The grilles have also been re-covered.
They can be demonstrated here at my home in Spencer Mass. They do not have the matching Kube 200 equalizer, and the price reflects that.
The 105/3 was second only to the 107/2 of the day. The specs show that they are relatively easy to drive, though they do perform well with ample power. The performance of the Kube 200 equalizer in illiciting 20hz output from the 105/3's can actually be easily bested by applying the MiniDSP 2x4HD, plus it's easier to implement.
These weigh 92.5 lbs each, and shipping is not an option as there is no way to safely package them. They stand 44" tall x 11" wide x 12-1/2" deep (or about 14-1/2" deep including the dual binding posts.)
I accept ONLY cash, Venmo, or PayPal F&F. Why buy new bookshelf speakers when can have essentially new speakers of this calibre for the same or less money?
