I currently have Polk T90e EURO front towers and a Polk CS1 center.......and I'd like to upgrade the front/center speakers.....but ALSO GET AWAY FROM FLOOR SPEAKERS if possible to clean up the look of the viewing wall. I either want to wall mount or IN-WALL mount the fronts on either side of a 110" screen. I would like to keep it under $1000 and not overpower the rest of the system.....which is:
a Yamaha RX-A800 Receiver powering a Velodyne VX10B Subwoofer along with Polk RC85i wall mounted rears and RC80i ceiling mounted center surrounds in a 7.1 system. I'm a little underwhelmed by the sound of the IN-WALL Polks thus far - does anyone have experience with adding a baffle and if so -was it worth the effort?
Thanks
Larry
I know speakers are VERY subjective.....but in my area - there are very few options for audio aside from Big Box stores......so some direction pointing will be greatly appreciated.
