Developed for YAMAHA CDR-HD1500

This software can read and write wave files from the special HD for YAMAHA

CDR-HD1500, You have only to connect the hard disk and PC with a USB

Hard disk box.

It is only available on computers running Windows 2000, XP or Vista.

It has passed the test on my YAMAHA CDR-HD1500 which firm version is

P2.0.00. I'm not quite sure whether it is available on other firm version.

Does anyone know where I can download this software or something similar?

The link above doesn't work.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, Beranga!

I don't know if it is the same software, but there is a link to something that sounds similar on Yamaha's website. Here's a link to their downloads page.

Thanks for the quick answer (and the welcome). The software on the Yamaha site is called TitleEdit and is very limited, I'm looking for something better.

I haven't checked out the link but I'm confused. Is this some proprietary software meant to read/write WAV files from the internal hard drive on one particular Yamaha CD burner?

That's great for use with that particular burner, but is entirely unnecessary. Any $30 DVD rom drive for your computer can rip the audio tracks off a CD and every audio editor, cd burning program, or media manager type program can convert that raw PCM data into WAV, MP3, WMA or whatever format you want - it just won't be able to write it to disc inside the Yamaha burner unless that device can be mounted as an external drive (which it probably can't - hence the need for this proprietary solution).

Okay, I did a Google search for this thing.

Check out this link and go to reply #8. There is an attachment that is a compressed version of the software that I believe you are looking for.

Thank you Adam, that's exactly it. You are a better Googler than me, I couldn't find it.
