Free Gear?!

I was just wondering who out there has been given free A/V equipment (not to demo). The reason I ask is most of my system I got for free (all legal)

Honestly, I've bought gear for cheap off of friends, and I've been known to give things away, but I've never had a piece of gear (other than some speaker cable or interconnects) given to me. As I upgrade speakers, I usually spread them around to family members or needy friends.

I've never been given any A/V equipment for free myself, but I'm about to give my friend my Musical Fidelity CD player for free.
