Hi all, as you all know im new to this forum and i heard and learn a lot about speakers. I heard that Yamaha does not make good speakers (but the YAMAHA NS-1000 was the legend). I currently own a pair of Soavo-1 for about 2 months now, and to me the sound was awesome til this day. TO be honest, i dont think that i ever heard the sound of B & W, Paradigm or any of the best speaker makers out there. Maybe I need to so i can compare the differences in sound. I am an opened mind person and I do accept the facts. As you can tell that i am a Yamaha fanboy, but if this yamaha product sucks, I will accept it. So if u have the chance to go and audition the soavo. Please do so.

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. They certainly are fine looking speakers. Perhaps I will get a chance to hear some one of these days.

When I first read this, I thought that you meant that today they no longer sounded awesome to you. However, I'm guessing that you are saying that they have always sounded good to you.

Sorri for the misunderstanding, that is exactly what i mean to say "the sound always good to me".

You would think that with Yamaha in the musical instrument business. That they would produce speakers, that produce incredible sound quality. Something like a studio monitor. Maybe they do, I don't know. I have never auditioned any Yamaha speakers.

With Yamaha they do a very good job on most products and usually have a great performance for dollar ratio. The Soavo's are a good speaker and do offer some interesting features like carved wooden ports and four distinct and different interior acoustic damping materials. Personally I would pair these speakers with a warmer sounding amplifier as I think they tend to be a little bright.
