I have a pair of Castle Acoustics Richmond Bookshelf Speakers, in the beautiful Yew Finish (real wood veneer).

These are the original Richmond speakers, not the Richmond 2, or 3 or " 3i ". They function perfectly, sound wonderful and look beautiful.

$550.00 ......for the pair and that covers Shipping/Insurance to your door, if you're in the intercontinental USA.

For those who reside elsewhere, we can look into the cost of shipping and try to work something out.

Please PM me if you're interested, as well as responding in this tread.

Yes I can, Jamie.

But not till later on in the afternoon. Around 5:00 PM or so.

I'll try to get it done sooner, if I can.

This first picture is a little bleached out by the lighting. The finish is a bit darker, as in some of the pics below this one. I did the best I could do with this camera and the lighting. Not great pics, but should be good enough for you (or anyone ) to see how they look and the kind of shape they're in.

There's also four links below these two pics, which you can check out.

Thank you Jamie. Yes, they are beautiful and they sound great.

They are relatively small speakers at ......13 " Height, 6 3/4 " Width and 7 5/8 " Depth. 8 Ohm and 88 db.

They are easy to drive. I've played them with a few different amps.

My Butler TDB 2250......at moderate levels. I kept the volume safe with this amp and they sounded great. But I wouldn't drive them hard (at high volumes) with an amp like the TDB 2250 (250 watts per channel at 8 ohms).

I also drove them with my buddy's Onkyo Receiver, 70 watts per channel (if I remember correctly) and they sounded and worked wonderfully.

A Rega Mira 3 at 60 watts sounded so very musical. No problems whatsoever.

You can drive these babies with even modest tube amps (in the 20-30 watt range) and get awesome results.

They'll work well with just about any wattage, as long as it's quality power/quality design. But they are speakers for a small to meduim sized room.

They'll struggle to fill overly large rooms.

Reduced Price.......... $500.00 USD for the pair, same shipping Terms as mentioned above.

Nice looking speakers. I'm not familiar with Castle at all. Are they a British or US company?

Hi adk highlander,

They are British. These are the original Castle Acoustic speakers, designed and manufactured by Castle Acoustics in the UK.

Reduced Again..........to... $450.00 USD for the pair, same shipping Terms as mentioned above.

Just a suggestion, but if you haven't posted them to Audiogon or AudioCircle yet, you might want to. I had some trouble selling Castle speakers before until I listed them on Audiogon. Then I got some immediate hits. The communities are different.

Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?
