Wireless is only part of the solution. The goal of this technology is to make great sounding home theater easy to do. Speakers are plugged in like a lamp. They turn on the main system, and that's it. Everything is figured out from the number of speakers, their exact location, which should be left front, right surround, etc. As Gene pointed out in his article, the sweet spot can be set with a press of a button. It's just easy.
When setting up our booth at CEDIA, we had two complete 7.1 systems that were sealed in crates and had them both up and fully optimized in under an hour.
