Fluance XL7F--is Yamaha a-s500 enough?

Hello all. I'm running a Yamaha a-s500 amp which puts out 85 watts per channel at 8 ohms. I'm very interested in the Fluance XL7F speakers, the minimum requirements for them are 80 watts per channel @ 8 ohms. Although I realize the Yamaha can "technically" handle the speakers on spec, I feel they may not have enough. My listening area is 14'wide, 11'deep, 8'ceiling. I will not be running a sub. Any thoughts? Fluance believes I'll be fine, as do some Amazon reviewers with modestly powered amps, but I'd appreciate any feedback. If not the Fluance, my only other choices are the EMP r55ti or Klipsch RF-62 II. Thanks.

I don't think that you'd have issues powering these speakers with your Yamaha speaker, but besides power requirements there are tons of other considerations.

$500 for speakers - I'd recommend you checking out these:

You wont need sub for most music
